Publisher guide

A new route from
page to programme.

A practical guide to Elseleaf Publisher, and the directory connection being prepared.

Publisher is being prepared for release. This guide describes the current tools and the directory connection still to come.

  1. Install Publisher on your WordPress site.

    Upload and activate the Elseleaf Publisher plugin when you have its release ZIP. Your articles remain ordinary WordPress posts.

  2. Create a programme.

    Give the series a name, description and cover. Preview the identity and choose the voices you want to use.

  3. Assemble an edition.

    Choose your published articles, set their running order, and add introductions or recordings. You can even add images with spoken descriptions.
    Save a draft, check it, then publish when ready.

  4. Choose how it is delivered.

    Check the source plugin’s delivery settings. A readable unlisted feed is not permission to promote a programme in a public directory.

  5. Connect to the directory — coming next.

    The planned connection will verify site ownership and ask you to opt in. You will select a primary category and up to two additional categories for each promoted programme.

  6. Review your public listing — coming next.

    Preview the publication website link, programme information and categories. Listing and editorial featuring are separate. You will be able to withdraw a programme from discovery.

The current Publisher release does not yet include programme category selection or the central directory connection. These steps describe the planned workflow; they are not available controls today.
